How to take care of Leather Jacket of Riders?

There’s nothing like a biker leather jacket to complete your motorcycle rider look. But there’s more to a leather jacket than just giving you a tough and rough image, more importantly it is a protective wear that will minimize any injury or abrasion in case of an unfortunate occurrence such as a crash.
And because your jacket is very important to you, it’s only right that you do everything to preserve its quality and gorgeous form. To keep your jacket in perfect shape, here are some techniques to properly care for it.
• Use water protector to make your jacket water resistant and prevent water spots from staining the leather. Be sure to pick one that is odorless and colorless so that the quality of the leather will not be changed.
• It is also a good idea to protect your leather from stains by applying a stain protector. Also in case of stains, it’s best that you take immediate action and clean it up right away before it leaves an unsightly spot on your jacket.
• Use wide padded hangers instead of wire hangers to hang your jacket so that it stays in perfect form.
• If you won’t be using your jacket for a long period of time, store it in a cool dry place but not in a sealed non-porous or plastic garment bag that will not allow the leather to breathe. You can store it in a mesh garment bag or leave the plastic garment bag unzipped to allow for stale air to escape and fresh air to flow in.
• Never blow-dry your jacket and place it near a heat source such as heater, stove or fireplace to dry it because this will damage the leather. Should your jacket get wet, allow it to air-dry naturally.
• Apply leather conditioner on your jacket once in a while to maintain the flexibility of the leather and to prevent it from drying and cracking.
• Ironing your leather jacket is not recommended. Wrinkles on leather eventually disappear after being on the hanger for some time. But if you really need to iron it like if you’re going to attend a biker race the same day, set your iron to the lowest temperature and place a thick paper over your jacket. Iron it as quickly as possible, allowing for very short contact with the iron. Steam should never be used.
Needless to say, your jacket is an important part of your overall rider get-up as well as your motorcycle protective gear. And even though you’ve purchased a high quality leather jacket like a Harley-Davidson motorcycle jacket, it’s still up to you to make it stay looking brand new.

Retro Leather Jackets

Spending the better part of 40+ years with a variety of major fashion retailers, I have learned some certain truths. Along with the inevitability of death and taxes is the truth that, in fashion, what had gone around comes around again. The cycle is usually generational. For some reason, every 40 years the essence of the hot fashion of the time is revived and given the title “Retro”. It was only natural, that with the upsurge in Vintage Automobile collecting and racing, some of the hot fashion associated with with the era of the 1960’s / 1970’s would start showing up about now - and also inevitable that there would be a large appeal to a younger, non automotive related audience.
First comes the fabric. Leather jackets have always been cool, but when worn by Marlon Brando and his motorcycle gang, Jimmy Dean in his Porsche 550, Steve McQueen “The King of Cool” in the Great Escape - “cool” had a new meaning. Leather in jackets relating to automobiles, modern and vintage, is back with a vengence. Next comes the style. When I was buying jackets back in the late 60’s / early 70’s there was one style designed for “cool ” drivers and its generic name was the descriptive name of the company - “Style Auto”. Literally thousands of dozens of this style in a variety of fabric were made. It’s baaaack.
Tony “a2z racer” Adamowicz, working from his original 1970 collection of jackets has produced and is marketing an improved retro Top Grain Leather Jacket that captures the essence of the original. Perfect for the new and old Porsche, Corvette, BMW, Shelby Mustang GT500, etc. Tony, who just had a podium finish at Infineon Raceway in his 40 year old 1969 F5000 Championship car, said that he will also be designing this Satin Lined, Leather Jacket in other fabrics including Corduroy and Nylon Cire. Tony plans to be styling in his vintage Datsun 240Z. I plan to follow suit in my 65 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce. Niche market to mainstream continues to be the mantra for retro design.

Most commonly Leather Shoes in market

For every fashion and every season, men have been choosing leather as their favorite shoe material. Leather has been a favored material of shoemakers for about as long as there have been shoemakers. Leather is an ideal material for shoes because it is pliable, durable, comfortable, and fashionable.
There are a variety of leathers used for shoes. Most leather today comes from cows but this is by no means the only animal skin being tanned and turned into leather. Ostrich skin has recently become a popular source for leather. Alligator and crocodile skins are another popular choice for the fashion conscious. Even snake skins are used for shoes. Ever seen a pair of rattlesnake skin cowboy boots? Talk about a fashion statement! For those who prefer their fashions from Down Under, there are shoes made from kangaroo skin. Kangaroo leather is, in fact, known to be more resistant to abrasions than cow leather.
Not only does leather come from a variety of animals, there are also a number of forms of leather. The most common form of leather employed for shoemaking is full-grain leather. Full-grain leather has a natural grain and good breath ability. It wears better than any other form of leather. This form of leather actually improves with age. Because it hasn’t been overly sanded or treated, full-grain leather is the most durable form of leather and the top choice for distinguishing shoe buyers.
Another popular form of leather is suede. Suede starts out similar to full-grain leather, but the upper layers of the material are brushed away, which is what give suede its characteristic appearance. Suede is much softer than most other forms of leather, and for this reason it is also not nearly as durable. Suede is not washable, either. Despite these drawbacks, suede shoes are widely available and always fashionable.
Top-grain leather is somewhat similar to full-grain, except on one side, much of the grain has been sanded away. This is a very common form of leather used in shoes. If you have a pair of leather shoes which feel very rough on the inside and very smooth on the outside, it’s probable that they are made with top-grain leather. Top-grain is usually made from a lesser quality leather and is therefore used for less expensive shoes.
A less common, but well-known form of leather is patent leather. This is not as popular in men’s shoes as it is in women’s but some men prefer it. Patent leather has an extremely glossy feel and appearance. Leather shoes require care that shoes made from other materials do not.
Leather shoes should be cleaned and polished on a regular basis with a natural-based product. These products all the leather to breathe and keep it from drying out and cracking. Also, it’s a good idea to waterproof your leather shoes with a leather waterproofing product. Finally, use a leather conditioning product to keep your shoes soft, supple, and comfortable. With proper care, leather shoes will less a long time and gain character with age.

Technicolor Dream
Forget the demure muted tones of the winter season and bring on the color. The latest spring shoes are sure to stimulate the senses. Wild colors are definitely in. There are many neon and flashy metallic shoes to brighten up any wardrobe.
Many designs go crazy over color and create a mixture of tones and hues using complicated stitching. The result is psychedelic-style floral and geometric patterns that celebrate all things spring. The unexpected additions silver and gold accents to these patterns or on traditional warm weather sandals will brighten up any outfit.
Attention to Detail
Nothing adds drama to a well-designed shoe like a well-placed detail. This spring all the hottest shoes have just a little something extra. Perforations on boots and pumps have made a comeback for good reason. The playful windows allow ventilation for the feet and make stiff styles less formal. For sandals with straps, nothing draws attention like clunky jewels. Large stones reflect the sun and make these comfortable shoes sparkle.
Another emerging trend is bead detailing. Intricate beadwork draws the eye over the graceful lines of the footwear and provides a graphic area of interest for the eye. These masterpieces offer a down-to-earth and handmade feel to any outfit. If you have bohemian style, beaded sandals are the perfect addition to your wardrobe.
Unexpected Materials
Take a walk on the wild side with the latest shoe material trends. Alligator and snakeskin shoes are nothing new, but this spring they are getting revamped. Patchwork designs consisting of many different textures reveal a touch of danger with the unmistakable texture of alligator. These materials not only make durable shoes, but the texture and colors make the details pop.
Patent leather may seem a bit stuffy, but it is getting a makeover for the spring season. Fun boots and flats made out of the stiff stuff can be worn to work or out on the town. Paring the leather with unexpected shapes and colors brings the formal material down to earth.
The Trendiest Styles
•    The Gladiator Sandal. This casual flat is a great option for those who value comfort, but still want attractive shoes. The gladiator sandal is surprising sturdy and perfect for those seeking a more natural look. They are often made in leather with fabulous beading or strap detailing.

•    The Pump with a Twist. Most women have a trusty pair of pumps that will work with anything, but these versatile shoes don’t get the recognition they deserve. This spring, the pump is celebrated with some fashion forward patterns and color. Wouldn’t a flowered or
patent leather lime green pump make a great addition to your collection?

Patent leather shoes in fad

The fall is one of my favorite times of year. I love to see the leaves change color along with pumpkins, mums and hay bales everywhere. There’s crispness in the air and the smell of fireplaces in the evening. As fall arrives, the sandals, flip-flops and shorts get put away and the fall and winter shoes and clothes come in.
Each fall I find it exciting to see the new trends; the colors, styles and textures that will dominate the industry. Some of the trends continue in popularity from the previous year, while others are new looks.
This year, gray is one of the hottest colors. In all different hues, from the softest dove gray to the deepest charcoal, it’s showing up everywhere. I’ve seen boots, Mary Janes, and ballet flats all in gray as well as many different textures including patents, suede’s, satins and the list goes on…
Metallic’s, such as gold, silver and bronze are very popular and found in many different designer shoe lines, from the soft brushed gold to complete shine. I’ve seen some adorable ballet flats in soft gold and of course plenty of sexy metallic sling back evening sandals.
Mary Janes is one of my favorites, but Mary Janes in black patent leather are my favorite! I like both the rounded and pointed toe but I prefer the rounded just a bit more. I especially like the look of the cap toe. Suede pumps with patent leather cap toes are one of the many other possible combinations of materials and they have such a sophisticated look.
Classic styles are getting a bit of a twist with an exotic flair of animal prints along with embossed leather crocodile and snake. Animal prints are often being paired with black or brown leather.
Satins shoes have of course been dazzling for years. Some simple, others adorned with jewels. Black always seems to be a popular choice for its sophistication. Red satin, while sophisticated as well, has a true “wow” factor.
Fortunately, getting the latest fall trends doesn’t have to break the bank. For the most part, shoe styles can be found at prices that are on the less expensive end to very costly. Checking local as well as online stores can help get the look you want for the price you can afford.

Christian Dior Fuchsia Patent leather products: Review

These are probably going to be the best ballet flats you will ever get your hands on! The color is fuchsia and I never thought fuchsia could look so amazing! The color and the shine combo on these shoes are just outstanding and very appealing. The patent leather flats are truly one of a kind. I would really like to get my hands on these, but I know the price will keep us apart. However, maybe the price won’t be a problem for some of you. If that is the case can you please buy me a pair?
Anyway, let me stop before I start begging someone to buy me a pair of these shoes. What I like about how this shoe was designed is that the whole shoe is not stunningly shiny. Only the upper is super shiny. That is good because overly shiny shoes juts remind me of Shirley Temple shoes and I am just not down with that!
Christian Dior has added some tiny details that really make a difference in the look of the shoe. There is a top stitch design around the toe of the shoe. Also there is a sassy brown grosgrain strap that straps nicely across your foot and gold toned tarnished logo that makes this fuchsia shoe pop!
On the back side of the shoe there is also a grosgrain patch that has a contrast grosgrain strip that adds another unique design element to the shoe. Inside the shoe it is lined with leather and is slightly padded for extra comfort and longer wear time. The leather shoe is and about ¼’ heel and has a rubber inset. This shoe was also made in Italy!
I know we have talked about everything in details except the price. You could buy an airplane ticket to Hawaii for the price of these shoes, I am not even kidding. But if you get this shoe you can save yourself a little money.
You can dress this shoe up or dress it down. This would look great with some blacks. You can also where there this with a black dress if you would like to avoid wearing heels. Even though it is a flat it is designed so elegantly it will not take away from your dress. Also, you can wear these with some nice jeans if you are going to something that is a little more to the casual side, but you want to look somewhat dressed up.

Patent Leather Shoes in vogue

Shoes
Let’s talk about shoes, for a moment.
Personally, I’m all about bright shoes. Paired with a neutral colored pair of pants or skirt or your favorite jeans, most people can pull off pretty much any color shoe. It adds an amazing pop to even the most monotone outfit and instantly pulls things together and makes you look like you tried!
This season seems to finally be condoning the bright colored shoes I’ve been sporting forever. But color isn’t the only thing to rave about. Great classic detailing like the platform, peep toe wedge or stiletto is all over the place! Flats are back in a big way, with fun details like big hardware or bow embellishments, leopard print, suede or, my personal favorite, patent leather.
Basically, it all comes together for an endless list of possibilities for a fun 50’s Pin Up vibe and will absolutely anchor your fall wardrobe. And since these shoes are everywhere, look around and pick up a whole gaggle of them being sure to include several fun colors (red is a MUST!), heel heights and materials.
Clothes
Moving on up, what to throw on above that great pair of shoes? Think slim profile, if not entirely “skinny”.
Sure, skinny jeans may be what it’s all about, what all the stars are sporting, et cetera, but let’s face it. Not everybody can pull it off, including me! If you can, congratulations. Pick up a nice, classic pair in a darker wash from pretty much anywhere you go.
But if you’re built more like a video honey and have curves to content with (especially thick thighs,) steer clear of the skinny, even if you can fit into a pair. The silhouette is just not flattering on us!
Instead, opt for a nice dark jean with a higher waist, a dark wash, some stretch and a classic boot cut. The ever so slight flare at the calf will balance out your proportions and give the illusion of the straighter profile skinny jeans are supposed to create.  My favorite jeans right now are the new “Victoria” jeans by Gloria Vanderbilt. They definitely fit all my requirements and fit me like a glove while most pairs I find in stores just simply DON’T.
And since there’s more to fashion than a great pair of jeans, definitely throw in a pencil skirt or two. As far as I’m concerned, it’s still all about the high waist and the demure tone. Nothing too short, keep it close to the knees (I prefer just below,) with a nice slit somewhere. Throw on a pair of textured tights, nude fishnets if you must go fishnet, and a sexy red platform heel and you are ready to go.
Tunic tops are awesome, and quite flattering if done right, but focus on the silhouette. Keep things slim below the waist, but throw some volume in up top. Cowl necks, turtle necks, bat sleeves, et cetera are great for this and in abundant supply.
The last mall find I have to suggest is the super embellished hoodie. Yeah, it doesn’t keep with our 50’s Pin Up glam theme at all, but some of these are just too amazing to pass up. Avoid the logo-wear, and look for something a little more girlie than your sk8ter boyfriend’s old black Haynes hoodie. There are great details like puffed sleeves, ribbed waists, sequins, huge charm zipper pulls, appliqués, rivets, et cetera and you should take advantage of theme all. The gaudier, the better!
Makeup
Ok, here’s one I love: totally simple makeup that’s more glamorous than ever.
My favorite look for the season is totally “no make up” with red lipstick.
To do this, focus on your skin. Great skin care followed by a tinted moisturizer with SPF, carefully applied concealer (pat don’t rub!), a coat or two of mascara with a focus on NO CLUMPS, a little bit of cream blush for a natural glow, a clear lip balm and you’re ready to go for day.
To kick it up a notch, add a red lipstick that suits you (if, indeed there is a red lipstick that suits you, and this is not always the case,) and you’re ready to roll.
If you need a little more than that, add a VERY THIN (read: not noticeable as actual makeup) line of dark eyeliner and a bit of skin tone shimmer eye cream at the corners of your eyes.
